The Ohio State University Extension Office, Mahoning County, collaborates with individuals, families, businesses and other organizations to bring educational and community-engaging activities to the Mahoning Valley. Focusing on critical economic, environmental, youth and family issues, Mahoning Extension strives to bring knowledge and resources using cutting-edge strategies and new technologies to farmers, gardeners, children, seniors and everyone in between. Hosting programs from 4-H to Y-town Garden Partners, Mahoning Extension brings its resources and our researchers' expertise to rural, suburban and urban areas of our county. You can find out more about the history of the extension offices in all 88 counties here.
