All 4-H members aged 12 and over who are taking a market or lactating animal to the county or state fair, and who have completed at least two years of quality assurance  training in Mahoning County, are eligible to complete their Ohio Department of Agriculture quality assurance requirement by passing a Q.A. test. This year’s test will be held at the Colonial Inn on the Canfield Fairgrounds on Monday, February 20, at 1:00 p.m.  A review session will be held at 12:00 noon on the day of the test for anyone who is interested.

 • There is no re-test option. If you do not pass the test on the first try, you and a parent/guardian are required to attend the county QA training on March 3, 2012.

Remember, regardless of your age, you must have attended QA training in Mahoning County for two years before you are eligible to test this year.

Space is limited, call early to reserve your seat. 

You must register to take the test by calling the Extension Office at 330.533.5538 by Friday, February 3. You can call any time and leave a message on ext. 105. When calling please have the following information available: Name, Age, Phone number, 4-H Club, project animal species taken.
