Ohio Soybean Council Foundation - 2025-2026
The Ohio Soybean Council Foundation is pleased to offer $47,000 in scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students for the 2025-2026 academic year. Scholarships are available to undergraduate and graduate students pursuing studies related to the soybean industry and the field of agriculture.

The Ohio Soybean Council Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization that supports scientific research and educational opportunities to the benefit of the soybean industry.
Undergraduate scholarships:

This scholarship program includes eight general undergraduate scholarships of up to $3,000 each, as well as two unique scholarships.
- One $3,000 Robinson W. Joslin Scholarship, named to honor Mr. Joslin’s contributions to the soybean industry through his leadership at the state and national levels. This scholarship was established to recognize a student who has demonstrated outstanding leadership potential.
- One $5,000 Bhima Vijayendran Scholarship, named to honor Dr. Vijayendran’s contributions to the soybean industry through his scientific research and commercialization activities at Battelle. This scholarship was founded to support those pursuing a degree related to science, technology or soybean research.
Undergraduate Eligibility:
- Applicants must be enrolled as a full-time student at an Ohio college or university, and attained at least sophomore status by the fall of 2025, with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Eligible majors include biology, biochemistry, bioengineering, molecular biology, chemistry, engineering, biotechnology, bioenergy, biofuels, food science, crop science, environmental science, agricultural communications, agricultural business, agricultural education or any of the agricultural disciplines or related fields.
- Applicants must also demonstrate the desire to pursue a career related to the soybean industry and/or agriculture.
Graduate scholarships:
- Three scholarships of up to $5,000 each
Graduate Eligibility:
- Applicants must be enrolled as a full-time graduate student at a university or college in Ohio.
- Applicants must be conducting research in bioproducts, biobased materials, biotechnology, bioengineering, biopolymers or a related field, and focused on advancing the soybean industry.
- Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Ohio Soybean Association Scholarship - 2025-2026
The Ohio Soybean Association (OSA), the membership and policy arm for Ohio soybean farmers, is offering two $1,000 scholarships to students of any major with a passion for the soybean industry. Applicants must be a full-time student at college, university or a technical school who have completed 15 hours of credit and must be able to provide proof of legal residency in Ohio.
Those who apply must also have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and must be a child or grandchild of an OSA member or be a Student and Young Adult Member themselves (SYA membership is $10). Applications for 2025-2026 will open on October 28, 2024.

Farm Credit Mid-America Scholars Program
We are thrilled to announce the FARM CREDIT MID-AMERICA SCHOLARS program for 2025 (our 9th year!). This program provides $5,000 in scholarship support over a two-year period and includes leadership development workshops and experiential travel. We are seeking the next generation of leaders who are passionate about making a difference in agriculture. Ideal candidates are current freshmen or sophomores in college, pursuing a degree in agriculture from universities in Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee or Arkansas, with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Customer Scholarship Program
We also offer $1,500 scholarships to students attending accredited two- or four-year colleges, universities or vocational/trade schools. Recipients of the CUSTOMER SCHOLARSHIP must be children or grandchildren of Farm Credit Mid-America customers pursuing a career in the agricultural industry. Current high school seniors, as well as college freshmen, sophomores and juniors, are welcome to apply.

The deadline to apply for the Farm Credit Mid-America Scholars program is December 15, 2024, and the deadline for the Customer Scholarship program is January 15, 2025.
Over the past decade, Farm Credit Mid-America has awarded more than $2 million in financial and educational support to deserving students pursuing careers in agriculture. Columbiana and Mahoning County Beekeepers Association supports new young beekeepers through our Youth Scholarship Program. We realize that the success of a new beekeeper is not reliant on the student's work and money alone but on the partnership's effort. Thus, the Youth Scholarship Program encourages the participation of parents/guardians, 4-H/B.S. Ohio advisers, local Ohio associations, and mentors.

Ohio Counties Scholarship
- Due: May 5, 2023
- Throughout the state, there will be one scholarship offered to students in each CCAO District (Central, Southwest, Northwest, Northeast, and Southeast). The award amount is $2,000 and is payable to the student when the office has received confirmation of your attendance at a university, community college, training program or vocational school. Applicants should plan on a career in public service in Ohio.

Ohio State Fair Scholarships
- Due: May 1, 2023
- Qualifications: The applicant must be a high school junior or senior or a graduate continuing their education at an accredited institution in an undergraduate course of study. They must reside in the State of Ohio and must have been both eligible to be a participant in the Junior Fair (not older than 19 years of age as of January 1, 2023) and must have served as an active participant in both the Ohio State Fair Junior Division and their local county fair.
