Free Dehydrating Class and Pressure Canner Gauge Testing

Join OSU Extension for a free educational event focused on food preservation, including a hands-on class about drying fresh produce at home and a pressure canner gauge testing open house.
Schedule of Events:

Pressure Canner Gauge Testing Open House:
9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
No registration required. Bring your pressure canner lid with the dial gauge, or just the gauge, to have it tested for accuracy. Annual testing is recommended by the USDA to ensure safe home canning. -
Drying Fresh Produce at Home Class:
10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Free to attend, but registration is required. This class will cover the basics of dehydrating produce at home, including:-
Types of dehydrators

Pre-treatment methods before drying

Proper food storage for safety and quality
