Med Instead of Meds Virtual Series Promoting the Mediterranean Way of Eating
Mahoning and Trumbull Counties — Ohio State University Extension is launching a monthly virtual education series designed to help participants adopt the Mediterranean Way of eating through simple, practical, and delicious lifestyle steps. The Med Instead of Meds program will guide attendees through seven approachable strategies to “Go Med,” emphasizing great taste, everyday life hacks, and healthy recipe ideas.
The series will be held once a month on Tuesdays from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., offering a convenient lunchtime learning opportunity. Each session introduces a new focus area, empowering participants to build sustainable eating habits that are satisfying and beneficial to overall wellness. Upcoming session topics and dates include:
• January 27 – Introducing the Mediterranean Way of Eating
• February 24 – Swap Your Fats
• March 24 – Eat More Fruits and Vegetables
• April 28 – Change Your Protein
• May 12 – Rethink Your Sweets
Sponsored by OSU Extension Mahoning and Trumbull Counties, the program is open to individuals of all ages who are interested in improving their eating patterns and learning more about the Mediterranean approach.
