  1. Backyard Maple Syrup Production Workshop

    Jan. 15, 2026 5:30pm to 8:30pm

    Backyard Maple Syrup Production Workshop Ever wondered how to make your own maple syrup at home? Join us for a hands-on class where you’ll learn everything from tapping your trees to finishing and packaging your syrup! This workshop includes both indoor instruction and outdoor demonstrations—perfect for beginners or backyard hobbyists.

  2. Pesticide and Fertilizer Recertification

    Jan. 15, 2026 9:00am to 1:00pm

    This class is for licensed pesticide/fertilizer applicators with licenses expiring 3/31/26. Thursday, January 15 9 a.m. – 10 a.m. Fert Recert 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Pest Recert - $35 for Pesticide Recertification - $10 for Fertilizer Recertification   Please follow the prompts on the mailing you recieved from the Extension office to register for any of our upcoming recertification classes.  For any questions, email shoemaker.306@osu.edu or call 330-967-7249.

  3. Garden Art Series - Holiday Centerpieces

    Dec. 10, 2025 6:30pm

    2025 Garden Art Series The Mahoning County Master Gardeners will lead hands-on garden art demonstrations that participants will be able to make and take home. Workshops run April-December at 6:30 pm in the Mahoning County Extension Office. All workshops cost $25 per participant.
