    Testing is to be completed after an in-person or online ServSafe course. Upon a passing grade, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion from ServSafe® and a Certification in Food Protection from the Ohio Department of Health. For more information click here.

    Pollinator gardens can be successful depending on the amount of time spent on preparation and planting. Not much prep work can result in a less-than-average amount of pollinators visiting your garden. Join Master Gardener Volunteers to discuss ways to plan a better garden layout and protect the pollinators who arrive. Registration is $15 and includes the program, coffee, tea, a light breakfast, and handouts.

  8. Sep. 18, 2024 6:30pm

    The Naturalist Series invites subject matter experts to share their knowledge and research regarding different aspects of nature. Subjects range from animals, plants, insects, and more. All these events are $5 ($30 for the whole series) and occur at 6:30 pm in the Mahoning County Extension Office.  Superheroes of the Bug World: Beneficial insects save the day again!

    Join us on September 11, 2024, at 6 pm to make decorative pots for the garden and patio using alcohol and inks. All materials and a pot will be provided per participant! All workshops cost $25 per participant.
