Pressure Gauge Testing Information

For safe home canning, the USDA recommends pressure canner dial gauges to be tested annually for accuracy, as they can become inaccurate over time. An inaccurate gauge can lead to under- or over-processing food and potentially cause food safety issues.

Gauge Testing Open House Times

8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Join us for the basics of Pressure Canning (soups/stews, vegetables, and more). Learn about current recommendations and safe canning techniques to prevent food borne illness.
