Master Gardener Volunteers Host Open House in Canfield

The Mahoning and Columbiana County Master Gardener Volunteers invite community members to an Open House & Meet n’ Greet on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the OSU Extension Office, 490 S. Broad Street, Canfield, OH.

This drop-in event offers an opportunity to learn more about the Master Gardener Volunteer (MGV) Program and how to become involved. Participants will discover how MGVs receive horticulture training, share their gardening knowledge with others, and contribute to educational programs and community projects.

“Our Master Gardener Volunteers are passionate about plants, people, and education,” said organizers. “This Open House is a chance to see how you can grow your own skills while making a difference in the community.”

Highlights of the program include:

• Training in plants, insects, diseases, and more

• Opportunities to assist with educational events

• Volunteer and continuing education experiences

• A welcoming community of fellow gardening enthusiasts
