Wednesday, March 20, 2024. Ohio is rich in many natural resources, and our native mammals are a wonder. From the smallest shrew to the previously extirpated and now re-establishing black bears, we see nature balancing our dynamic of predator/prey relationships. Mammal skulls - shape, eye socket placement, dentition, and other clues - give us evidence of activity, food sources, territory, and mating habits. Come along as we venture into the Ohio world of mammals.

The Mahoning County Master Gardener Volunteers have been able to place wreaths on Veterans' graves for the past 16 years. These wreaths are meant to honor their sacrifices and teach our younger generations about the high cost of our freedoms. Please help us continue this tradition by joining us for a ceremony where each veteran will have a wreath placed upon their grave. Please see the event flyer.
