  1. Mahoning County Completes Virtual Project Judging

    Jul. 22, 2020

    One of the many rituals in the summer for 4-H members is the Non-Livestock Project Judging. This occasion is a judging for youth taking non-animal projects, such as photography, cooking, sewing, STEM, leadership. gardening, woodworking, scrapbooking and so many more projects. Judges, who are community members that have a specialization in a particular area, volunteer their time to allow the youth to present their projects and ask the youth questions.

    Mahoning County - OSU Extension Office is now reopened! 

    Our new temporary hours are:

         - Monday: 8:30 am to 4:00 pm

         - Tuesday: Physical Office Closed, Staff is teleworking and available.

         - Wednesday: 8:30 am to 4:00 pm

         - Thursday: 8:30 am to 4:00 pm

         - Friday: Physical Office Closed, Staff is teleworking and available

    Drive up to the green tent and call us at 330-533-5538 for assistance.

  4. USDA Summer Food Service Program

    Jun. 19, 2020

    The USDA Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) was established to fill the gap when children lose access to meals when schools are closed. Most often this occurs during summer vacation. However, during school closures related to the pandemic, meals are also being made available. You have the opportunity to supplement the food you have at home with meals and snacks for your children from local schools and community organizations.
